Librarian

Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable Librarian to manage and organize our library's collection of books, periodicals, and other resources. The Librarian will be responsible for assisting patrons in finding materials, maintaining the library's catalog, and promoting literacy programs.

Job Responsibility:
- Manage the library's collection by cataloging, classifying, and shelving books and other materials
- Assist patrons in locating materials and provide reference services
- Organize and maintain the library's electronic resources and databases
- Develop and implement library programs and events to promote literacy and a love for reading
- Stay up-to-date with new literary releases and trends in the library science field
- Collaborate with teachers and faculty to support educational initiatives and integrate library resources into the curriculum

Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Previous experience working in a library setting
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with library cataloging systems and electronic databases
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
