The Assistant Principal fulfils the mission of the school by working with the principal in the management of the school, faculty, staff, and students with major emphasis on curriculum and instruction, as well as student discipline. This position reports to and is evaluated by the principal.
While the Assistant Principal, serves to support the Principal as the school and educational leader responsible for development, implementation, supervision, and evaluation of a comprehensive program of educational and student services.
Administers the program in accordance with board policies, statutory requirements, administrative rules and regulations, and consistent with collective agreements. Serves as an advocate for the staff, school, and school community as appropriate.
Skills
Mandatory Qualification and Work Experience
- Demonstrable experience of school improvement
- 3-5 years of experience as a School Leader
- Minimum 7 years of teaching experience
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in core educational subjects
- Must be Bi-lingual with excellent communication skills in English and Arabic
- Relevant Teaching Qualification
- Proficient with MS Office
